Job Type

  • Full-time
  • Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
  • Expected Hours: 35 – 45 hours per week

  • Qualifications

    • Previous experience in personal care or related fields is preferred.
    • A positive attitude and a genuine desire to work with individuals with developmental
      disabilities.
    • Ability to build rapport with clients.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • High school diploma and/or GED required.
    • Must be 18 years or older.
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (less than 6 points).
    • Clean background check BCI/FBI in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as any additional registries required by the State of Ohio.
    • Must currently hold or be willing to earn a certificate in the following (all costs covered by the company):
      - Adult CPR/First Aid/AED Training
      - Medication Administration Certification 1
      - Direct Support Professionals Annual Training through the Ohio DODD
      - A total of 8 hours of qualified training as determined by the employer.
  • Responsibilties

    • Assist clients with daily living activities.
    • Uphold clients' rights and confidentiality, serving as a role model and promoting teamwork to create a positive working and living environment.
    • Read, understand, and implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs), documenting daily as required.
    • Remain vigilant to individuals behaviors and physical changes, promptly notifying the immediate supervisor.
    • Support and enhance individuals’ daily living needs, which include but are not limited to nutrition, hygiene, exercise, communication, community outings, and socialization skills.
    • Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and participating in family-style dining and other daily living skills, always striving to improve their self-reliance.
    • Help maintain a clean, healthy, comfortable, and safe home environment for individuals.
    • Collaborate with clients and their families to determine the best care opportunities.
